relax in a standing, sitting or lying position

close your eyes

focus on your breathing

slow it right down

place your right hand on your chest and place your left hand on your belly

as you breathe in feel your belly gently expanding

feel your left hand being pushed outwards

as you breathe out gently pull your belly in underneath your rib cage

your belly will sink in and your left hand will move inwards

your chest and right hand shouldn’t move

as you breathe in feel your belly gently expanding again

repeat this process:

breathe in, belly out

breathe out, belly in
