this technique is very similar to the mii‑chi intuitive re‑balancing technique, the main difference is that this technique is performed standing up

find a quiet space where you won’t be disturbed. make sure that you have enough space around you so that your hands won’t hit anything if you stretch out your arms

stand with your legs shoulder width apart and flex your knees. feel the soles of your feet on the floor, centre your balance.

relax your shoulders, slightly bow your head, close your eyes.

focus on your breathing slow your breathing down breathe in, belly out — breathe out belly in

imagine a cord running through your body and out the top of your head. imagine this cord is supporting you, you feel light

let your body sway like bamboo in the wind

shuffle your feet if you need to

mentally scan your body for any aches, pains or tension

physically relax

let your arms move and sway, don’t force them to move

allow any colours to come into your mind

breathe in the colour deep into your belly and then let it permeate around your body being guided by your intuition

feel the warmth of the colour

breathe out the colour black

gently move your hands either independently or together to different parts of your body being guided by your intuition

use any of the gentle touch hand techniques being guided by your intuition

let your body move and sway, don’t force it to move

shift your weight if you feel the need to but keep your feet flat on the floor shoulder width apart

the key is to stay relaxed and flowing

to start with you may find it difficult to relax whilst standing

standing for any length of time takes practise, start with 10 minutes but don’t worry if you cant do the full 10 minutes at first

in time you will learn to relax in a standing position

if you feel dizzy at any time at all open your eyes until the dizziness passes

sit down or lie down at any time if you feel you need to
